A new ransomware threat has been identified called ‘Dearcry’ that targets Microsoft Exchange installations. Vulnerabilities on the ProxyLogon routine are used to gain access to Exchange and deploy ransomware, which, to date has no way of allowing victims to recover data for free. Backup (and detach your backup) regularly as this may be the only way you can recover your precious data if you fall victim to the criminals.
